Implementation Progress

This document tracks the implementation status of major features and enhancements in reviewtask.

Completed Features

✅ Issue #176: Support Codex-style review comments

Implementation Date: October 2025

Status: COMPLETED

Summary: Added support for Codex (chatgpt-codex-connector) embedded review comments and GitHub thread auto-resolution.

Phase 1: Embedded Comment Parser (COMPLETED)

  • ✅ ParseEmbeddedComments() - Extract structured comments from review body
  • ✅ GitHub permalink parsing with line range extraction
  • ✅ Priority badge detection (P1/P2/P3)
  • ✅ Title and description extraction
  • ✅ URL decoding for file paths

Phase 2: Comment Conversion (COMPLETED)

  • ✅ ConvertEmbeddedCommentToComment() - Convert to standard Comment format

  • ✅ IsCodexReview() - Reviewer detection
  • ✅ Integration with existing task generation pipeline

Phase 3: Review Deduplication (COMPLETED)

  • ✅ GenerateReviewFingerprint() - Content-based fingerprinting

  • ✅ IsSimilarContent() - Similarity detection
  • ✅ Chronological ordering preservation

Phase 4: GraphQL API Integration (COMPLETED)

  • ✅ GraphQLClient - GraphQL client implementation

  • ✅ Integration with task update workflow
  • ✅ Configuration support via auto_resolve_threads (default: false)

  • ✅ All tests passing

✅ Issue #179: Cancel command with GitHub comment posting and error propagation

Implementation Date: January 2025

Status: COMPLETED

Summary: Enhanced cancel command to post cancellation reasons to GitHub review threads and properly propagate errors for CI/CD safety.

Phase 1: Cancel Command Implementation (COMPLETED)

  • ✅ cancelTask() - Posts cancellation reason as GitHub comment
  • ✅ formatCancelComment() - Formats cancellation comment with task details
  • ✅ Batch cancellation with --all-pending flag
  • ✅ Error propagation with non-zero exit codes
  • ✅ Error wrapping with %w for proper error chains

Phase 2: Error Handling Enhancement (COMPLETED)

  • ✅ Proper error wrapping in batch operations
